May Stitch Fix Reviews - #10 & #11

So, have I mentioned how much I love Stitch Fix and how much I love my stylist (Solenice).  In her recent note to me, she called me out for not posting on my blog for my 10th fix.  So, this post will be #10 and #11...I'll start with the most recent.

I am going to D.C. at the end of the month for vacation, so I asked for casual pieces that would work well.

Here is what I received:
Collective Concepts Salas Split Neck Blouse
Alice Blue Simona Henley Blouse
Loveappella Evie Draw String Funnel Neck Sweatshirt
Skies are Blue Nikolai Split Neck Top
Kut From the Kloth Jaylon Denim Short

Collective Concepts Salas Split Neck Blouse

I really like the style of this shirt...unfortunately, it was just a tad on the big side.  The arm holes were too big for my taste.  I was worried that if I sized down, that it would be too tight at the bottom as it is more fitted there.
Verdict: Returned

Alice Blue Simona Henley Blouse

Solenice's note: "I know you said nothing fancy, but just in case you need something a little dressier for dinner out with your family I found you the Alice Blue blouse!  I love floral pieces for spring and summer."
Boy, am I glad she included it in the fix.  I think it is nice and feminine, which I am currently lacking in my wardrobe.  I like how versatile it can be...you can dress it up or down depending on the occasion.  Plus, I think it looks really good on me!
Verdict:Keeper

I paired it with a pair of my colored Emers for a work outfit.  What do you think?

Loveeappella Evie Draw String Funnel Neck Sweatshirt

Solenice's note: "You pinned it a LONG time ago, but I included the Loveappella sweatshirt in case you need a casual layering pieces during the day."  My first reaction was that Solenice must have lost her ever loving mind...it might work for DC, but summer in Memphis is HOT & HUMID.  Then I tried it on, and fell in love!!!
Verdict: Keeper

Skies are Blue Nikolai Split Neck Top

My thoughts on this top: Love, Love, Love...that is all.
Verdict: Keeper

Kut From the Kloth Jaylon Denim Short

Solenice found these shorts that I had pinned last month.  I pinned them because I love teal and I love Kut From the Kloth.  However, I have this weird thing about my thighs...I hate my thighs.  And these shorts sit at just the wrong point of my thighs for me to feel comfortable in them.

I was worried that if I sized up, they would be too big on my waist.  :(
Verdict: Returned

So, for Fix #11 I was 3 for 5.  I love all 3 items that I'm keeping.  Once again, I am impressed with Solenice b/c she really pays attention to my note, my pinterest board, and my past fixes. Thanks for the wonderful job you do!

Ok, now for the long awaited Fix #10.  For my 10th fix, I asked for pieces to add to my spring wardrobe.  I also asked for a dress to coordinate with my daughter's for a wedding we were attending.

Shoes!  Stitch Fix now carries shoes!!

Nine West Onlee Pointed Toe Flats

These shoes are super cute!  I like the textured pattern and that they could go with lots of items in my closet.  However, I wasn't totally sold on them....I'm not much of a dressy flat girl.  Spoiler: once I decided to keep everything else from the box, I decided to keep these too for the 25% discount.  I wore them the other day as Solenice suggested: with my new Market & Spruce coral top and KFTK boyfriend jeans.  The outfit looked super cute, but after about 2 hours my left foot was not happy with these new shoes.  I ended up with 2 huge blisters...in hindsight, these shoes might be a tad too big.  I will probably not be wearing them again.
Verdict: Kept, but Shouldn't Have

London Times Braedyn Lace Dress

As I mentioned above, I requested a dress that would coordinate with my daughter's dress for an upcoming wedding.  I included links to both of my daughter's possible dresses for Solenice to see.  I think she did a terrific job picking this dress.

This dress fit and looked great on me.  I wore it to the wedding....my daughter chose the heart dress.  I received several compliments on the dress.  It is such a comfortable dress too, which was great since I was in it all night long!
Verdict: Keeper

Market & Spruce Juli Lasercut Detail Blouse

I had pinned this blouse, because I really liked the color combination and style.  At first, after trying this on, I was on the fence about it.  Then I paired it with white jeans/shorts and my new pink shoes...it's a keeper!
Verdict: Keeper

Market & Spruce Diller Crochet Sleeve Knit Top

This shirt!!!!!  I've already worn this exact outfit, and loved the way I looked and felt in it (other than the shoes).  Heaven!
Verdict: Keeper

 Papermoon Bastille Tulip Sleeve Blouse

Isn't the color of this blouse to die for?!?!  For this picture, I styled it with my KFTK jeans.  However, I love wearing it to work tucked in to a pair of slacks.  I've received so many compliments on it already.  Everyone especially loves the sleeves:

Japan - Stitch Fix Style

As I was packing for my trip to Japan, I realized that Stitch Fix has totally changed my life.  My suitcase was filled with either Stitch Fix items or items that were inspired by Stitch Fix.  I'm so glad that I found them back in June.  Revolutionary!  So, what was in my suitcase...what did I wear?

Sorry...I apparently didn't think to have someone take my picture while I was working.

Day 4: Shinjuku - Samurai Museum & Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
Stitch Fix Style: 41Hawthorn Gideon Polka Dot Sweater

Day 5: Conference at Haneda Airport
I wore a suit this day and no Stitch Fix...whomp whomp!

Stitch Fix Style:  Mystree Chamberlin Striped Drape Front Cardigan

On the flight home, I wore my Emers...they are the most comfortable pants ever.

As you can see, Stitch Fix has completely taken over my life.  I'm not sure what I wore before Stitch Fix!  Thanks for helping me find my style!

February - Stitch Fix #9 Review

Wow! I am already on my 9th fix. That doesn't even seem possible. What seems more impossible is that I'm more in love with Stitch Fix now than I was when I was anxiously awaiting my first fix.

This month my request to my stylist was, "I am heading to Tokyo on Feb 20th for a week for a work trip/vacation. For this trip, I am in desperate need of a smallish crossbody purse. I would also love a jacket that's great for temps in the 40s. Another pair of jeans or a colored pair of emers would probably also be good to have. I can't wait for this fix or my trip to Japan."  I again requested Solenice to style my fix, since my last 2 were great.

She once again did not disappoint.  She referenced my note, my blog, and my Pinterest board.  I'm one happy Stitch Fix customer.

For this fix, I received a pair of pants, 2 tops, 1 jacket, and a purse.

41 Hawthorn Ackley Houndstooth Print Blouse
Solenice said she picked this specifically for me because she thought it would look really cute on me.  I agree.  I like how it can be casual with jeans or dressed up with a pair of slacks for work.  I think I'm going to pair it with my black emers, red statement necklace, and red flats for one of my days in Japan.  Be looking for that blog post soon!
Verdict: Keep

Level 99 Patrick Chino Pant
I asked for a pair of colored pants, and Solenice delivered.  A side view of these pants is in the above picture.  Another picture is shown below with the sweater.  I love how these pants fit.  They accentuate all of the right spots.  They are so comfy too.  They would be great for wearing while acting like a tourist all day.
Verdict: Keep

41Hawthorn Demi Pullover Sweater
I had this sweater on my Pinterest board, so I was happy to see it in my fix.  Again this sweater can either be casual or work appropriate...love it when that happens.  Based on Solenice's suggestion, I paired it with the Level 99 Patrick Chino Pants.  I think the combo looks great.  I have a long green statement necklace that I will also add to complete this outfit.  Again, this outfit will be going in my suitcase...speaking of which, I probably should start packing soon.
Verdict: Keep

Coffeeshop Adavale Cargo Jacket
I'll admit it...I've seen lots of people on Facebook or Pinterest with these types of jackets, but I just wasn't sure about them.  When I pulled it out of the box, I still wasn't sure.  Then, I put it on.  I REALLY LIKE it.  I also love that it has a hood, as it might rain while I'm in Japan.  It's the perfect on-the-go jacket.  Thanks, Solenice!
Verdict: Keep

Octavia Jolene Zipper Flap Crossbody Bag
I specifically asked for a crossbody purse in this fix.  Oh.My.God.  LOVE!  LOVE!  LOVE!  That's really I have to say about that.
Verdict: Keep...Obviously!

Yay for a 5/5 fix!!  At the rate Solenice and I are going, I'm going to have to stop receiving fixes on a monthly basis or find a part time job to pay for everything!  I seriously am enamored with Stitch Fix.

My flight for Japan leaves on Saturday, and I'll be there for a week.  Eeek...can't wait!  Check back the week of Feb 29th for a blog post about my trip.  I'm sure all of the above items will make an appearance in pictures.

January Stitch Fix Review - Fix #8

I just received my 8th fix from Stitch Fix. I truly have no idea what I did before Stitch Fix. It has changed my life. Someone at work this week even called me a fashionista. Me??? Wow! Thank you, Stitch Fix and your wonderful stylists!! Speaking of wonderful stylists, mine for the 2nd month was Solenice. As I said last month, she is amazing. Once again, she referenced my Pinterest board, blog posts, and past fixes. Perfect!! For as long as she's a stylist at Stitch Fix, I will continue to request her to style my fixes. Now that I think about it, I should probably stop talking her up so much...I don't want her to get to busy for me. :)
For this fix, I had a couple of special requests: a pink dress to wear to a breast cancer philanthropy luncheon, a Valentine's night date outfit, and a colored trench coat. I received all of those items plus a couple of awesome tops.
Alice Blue Natal Knit Trench Jacket
I specifically asked for a colored trench coat after I saw this one on another post. I even added this one to my Pinterest board. See, Solenice can read my mind. Unfortunately, I just don't think this looks great on me. One thing I didn't realize until I received it, is that the jacket doesn't have any buttons...you just tie it shut. As I was wearing it to try on, it kept coming open. I love the color of it, I just wasn't thrilled with the way it fit on me.
Status: Return
Adrianna Papell Melynda Dress
For my luncheon, Solenice chose this Melynda Dress. I love the cut and fit of this dress, and I like the way that it fit on me. I liked it, but didn't LOVE it...so for $108, I felt that I needed to return. Also, I think I might have to go down a size on what I have listed in my style profile for dresses. This one was just a tidge too big.
Status: Return
Gilli Kamile Jersey Ruched Detail Dress
This dress...PERFECTION!! Solenice chose this one for my Valentine's day dress. I'm pretty sure my husband is going to be impressed. She suggested pairing it with my Just USA denim jacket from my July fix.
Yep...that's a winner!
Status: Keep
Here is a close up of the dress, so you can really see the color:
Crescent Lurli Grommet Detail Blouse
I'll admit, when I first saw the style card and pulled this one out I was unimpressed. Then...I tried it on. I think I have a new go to work blouse!! I just love the color and fit on me. Also, the grommet details are to die for!
Status: Keep
Leo & Nicole Hacian Split Hem Detail Pullover Sweater
Solenice said to pair these with my black Emers, black flats, and a silver necklace. I think it looks great with my Emers. Unfortunately, the only silver necklaces I have are little ones. With only my small diamond pendant, the sweater felt a little plain. Looks like I'm going to need a silver statement necklace in my next fix. Hint, hint.
Then, I paid attention to the style card. Love those things! I noticed that it in one example, it was paired with a scarf...so I pulled out my 20 scarves (I might have a slight obsession) and found a match.
Status: Keep
This fix was a 3/5 for me, and I am still in love with Stitch Fix! This service really has been dressing better to accentuate the positives of my body. No more non-flattering clothes for me. I had a major purge of my closet around Christmas. I feel so much better, and according to my coworker I am a fashionista!!

Merry Stitchmas to Me!!

Merry Stitchmas to me!! I received Fix #7 from Stitch Fix on Christmas Eve...and it was the perfect Christmas gift!!
My note to the stylist simply read, "In the spirit of Christmas, surprise me. I promise I won't peek!!" It was so hard to wait until Christmas day to open my box...a whole 24 hours. I even waited and didn't look at the checkout ahead of time either. I'm so glad that I waited...what a great Christmas!
The first thing I did was read my note to my stylist...before I even looked at my clothes! I'm so happy that I read it first...it set the tone for the whole unboxing. I had a new stylist this time, Solenice. She is Ah-Ma-Zing!!
Now, onto the clothes!
Kut From the Kloth Kate Distressed Boyfriend Jean with Mystree Chamberlin Striped Drape Front Cardigan
I'm in love!! Kut From the Kloth Jeans are the best invention ever! I received a pair in my 5th fix and fell totally in love. My stylist sent me some in my 6th fix as well, but I had to send those back due to sizing issues. I updated my style profile, and BOOM, perfect fit. They feel amazing on...just like wearing butter!
And this cardigan, it looks so great on me. I love the colors and the drapeiness of it. It is a great versatile piece that can be worn both as a casual piece and a work piece. See it below with a pair of Emers I received in my last fix.
RD Style Angus Split Back Mixed Material Sweater
Things I like about this sweater: the color (I look good in black and it goes with everything), the elbow patches, and the split back! See below picture for the back...
41Hawthorn Gideon Polka Dot Sweater
I've seen this sweater all over Pinterest. I recently pinned it because I thought it would look perfect with my new pair of red pants...turns out, I was right!
LOVE!!
41Hawthorn Rowson Colorbock Striped Sweater
I need more casual, jean perfect sweaters...even though it was 79 degrees the day after Christmas. This sweater fit the bill.
What a perfect 5/5 Christmas fix. And how awesome is Solenice. She referenced my blog, pinterest board, and previous fixes. She is a keeper!! I love Stitch Fix!
